With over 25,000 species to choose from, fish have found all sorts of ways to go about producing the next generation of a diverse, exciting group!  Amanda will take you on a journey from the deepest oceans to the driest deserts, telling you all about how fish do their thing.  Whether you are interested in evolutionary science, or just want a weird and wild tale to take home, there will be something for you!

Dr. Amanda Rosenberger is the daughter of Dr. Mary Beth Keiter, a current resident of Uplands.  Her research focus is to address issues related to the conservation and management of aquatic biota in streams and rivers. She is presently focused on conservation of mussel communities and non-game fish.  She serves or served as the Principle Investigator for multiple projects in Alaska, Missouri, and now Tennessee, leading interdisciplinary research teams, while supervising graduate students and post-doctoral researchers.  Her work is interdisciplinary, cooperative, and provides fundamental information to managers for optimal management of natural resources.  She presently teaches classes in landscape ecology, fisheries management, malacology, and professional development.  In her off time, she illustrates the organisms she loves and is an activist for gun safety.
