 Dr. Jason de Koff earned a B.S. in chemistry from Ithaca College, an M.S. in Soil and Water Sciences at UC Riverside, and a Ph.D. in agronomy from Purdue University.  After postdoctoral work with the USDA-ARS in Fayetteville, Arkansas, Jason joined Tennessee State University in 2010.  Dr de Koff is an associate professor at Tennessee State University in the area of agronomy and soil science and also serves as the Extension Program Leader for Agriculture and Natural Resources.


Jason de Koff, Ph.D., will be discussing ways in which individual residents can help in capturing excess carbon dioxide in the atmosphere around us.  Whether you are a container gardener or the “caretaker” of a residential garden, his presentation will help you understand the benefits and strategies of carbon sinks and oxygen regeneration. Climate change will affect all of us for generations to come, and we can each play a part in turning things around.


The program will be a ZOOM hosted event by ULLI. Once registration is underway, registrants will be contacted with the ZOOM link and with instructions. ULLI has now purchased from ZOOM a plan allowing up to 100 participants.
