Presenter: Andy Linville

March 5 at 5:30 pm

Pleasant Hill Community House

"Andy Linville, owner of OBED FOREST GARDENS, has been instrumental in educating and implementing natural processes which restore ecological dead-zones to spaces where wildlife can flourish and humans can marvel and cut way back on maintenance.   He and team installed a meadow at Cumberland State Park, consulted with Uplands Village in 2023, to install a rain garden behind the Blue Barn to avert water erosion. Andy installs meadows throughout the county.  Andy's power-point shows before and after photos, and describes the "Occulation" process anyone can do in any-sized space. Andy is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University and lives in Oak Ridge.

This presentation is Part Three of the Cumberland County Rewilding Project initiative. The Cumberland County (TN) Rewilding Project was launched in January this year. We follow the inspiration of Doug Tallamy and his HomeGrownNational Park movement. To reverse the loss of food-web systems and fragile ecosystems everyone can (and must)do something in your yard.
