The Next ULLI Program: "Weather on the Plateau"


 
Uplands Lifelong Learning Institute is pleased to present:

The Weather On The Plateau: A discussion of a personal journey and a passion for all things weather and NASA. He will also discuss the science of our weather here in Cumberland County.

Friday October 8th, 2021 6:30-8pm:  A ZOOM Program by Meteorologist Mark Baldwin.

 Mark Baldwin is the host of the blog: MeteorologistMark.com.  After graduation from Cumberland County High School, Mark attended Tennessee Tech, where he majored in journalism. He then completed graduate work at Western Kentucky University in meteorology. Since then,  he has been: Operations Officer & Weather Specialist for TN Emergency Management Agency; Meteorology Teaching Instructor at Mississippi State University; aide to establishing a meteorology component in the Environmental Sciences Program at Longwood University in Farmville, Va; meteorologist for WeatherTAP for 3+years. Mark currently works for Adult Education at both the Crossville campus and the Fentress County jail, helping people earn their GED and sharing his love of learning. He is also presently a Cumberland County Commissioner and proudly involved in Kids on the Rise, Creative Compassion, Crossville Housing Authority, and the United Fund of Cumberland County. He is on the board of directors of the last 3 organizations. Mark recently began a new weather newsletter that is a subscription-based service at meteorologistmarkpro.com. He plans to add a monthly science newsletter for kids in October.
