The Consciousness Paradigm: Re-creating Our Lives and Our Culture

Our worldview has split us into warring tribes that perpetuate social and political inequities and upheavals, degradation of the environment, and the spread of a global pandemic. The seminar is based on Ed’s forthcoming book The Consciousness Paradigm: Re-creating Our Lives and Our Culture. Adopting the new paradigm can inform and transform religious, philosophic, and scientific worldviews that are rooted in materialism. It can transform our cultural and systemic practices that perpetuate racism, classism and the other ‘isms and ideologies.
Seminar Process
There will be four seminar groups – a Monday group, Tuesday group, Wednesday group, and Thursday group. There will be five sessions for each group between November 9 and Dec 10. The time for each seminar is 1:00 – 2:30 pm CST. Each group will be 12 or less participants to maximize their reflections, experiences, dreams, synchronistic events, insights, and intuitions. Participants will receive a section of the book by email one week prior to each session. Uplands members may request a printed copy. Since this is pre-publication material, it is not to be reprinted or circulated.
Session 1 Nov. 9-12 The Consciousness Paradigm. Layers of Consciousness, Universal Consciousness, how the brain normally filters only what we need for our survival.
Session 2 Nov. 16-19 Becoming Conscious of the Whole. Cycling through the layers of consciousness to become more whole and spiritual, encountering our individual and collective shadows.
Session 3 Nov. 23-25, 27 Catalysts of Change. Organized religion, deep learning organizations/cultures, and how organizations can help break the spell of materialism.
Session 4 Nov. 30, Dec. 1-3 [EO1] Creating Our Mystical Future. Developing mystical capacity, cyberspace, the portals of words, symbols, sounds, stories, and the “royal” portal of dreams.
Session 5 Dec. 7-10 Summary and Conclusion – Thriving in a Paradigm Shift. Rewiring our priorities to embrace what is of ultimate value – our relationships with each other and the Earth – a new global consciousness and ethic.
