SHORT COURSES FOR FALL 2018

Use scripture and the world’s fiction to illuminate the significance of each other. The class will read 8 short stories along with several readings from Hebrew and Christian scriptures. Meet weekly for eight weeks on Thursday mornings from 10:00 am - 11:30 am in Rm 1, Pleasant Hill Community Church. Materials provided. Register early so you can receive readings for the first class in advance

Explore the world’s perennial wisdom by using selected sacred texts. Meet weekly for five weeks on Monday afternoons from 2:00 pmto 3:30 pm in Rm 1, Pleasant Hill Community Church. Participants need a copy of Rabbi Rami's World Wisdom Bible: A New Testament for a Global Spiritualityavailable on Amazon for $13


Explore three important questions: What should I do? What sort of person should I be? What makes an action right or wrong? Meet weekly for 6 weeks on Friday mornings from 10:00 am - 11:30 am in Rm 1, Pleasant Hill Community Church. Participants should have a copy of Being Good: A Short Introduction to Ethicsby Simon Blackburn for $8 on Amazon
