Rabbi Rami has led workshops around the world. He is a witty, insightful, and engaging presenter. He is the editor of The World Wisdom Bible: A New Testament for a Global Spirituality.
Friday evening’s program, Perennial Wisdom, will look at the four points of the perennial wisdom at the mystic heart of each of the world's religions.
Saturday morning’s program, A Cup of Wisdom , presents a single premise: that conversation can be transformational and is a powerful platform for cultivating inclusion, love, and understanding. Rabbi Rami Shapiro earned rabbinic ordination from the Hebrew Union College– Jewish Institute of Religion, and a Phd in religion from Union Graduate School; he served as a chaplain with the USAF for 3 years; led Temple Beth Or in Miami, FL for 20; taught religious studies at Middle Tennessee State University for 10; and published over thirty books on religion and spirituality. He currently guides the One River Foundation, writes the Roadside Assistance for the Spiritual Traveler column for Spirituality & Health magazine, and hosts the magazine’s weekly radio show, Essential Conversations with Rabbi Rami .

Leader: Don Smith, BA in History, MDiv in Theology and Philosophy. Explore the questions “What counts as being free? What (if anything) makes a person unique?” and more. Meet weekly for six weeks on Friday mornings from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in Rm 1, Pleasant Hill Community Church. Jean-Paul Sartre’s 1946 lecture, Existentialism is Humanism, will be provided.
April 17 - May 22: Exploring Big Ideas in Short Stories.
Leader: Holly McClain, BA. Explore, interpret, and evaluate challenging ideas presented in short stories working individually and as a group. Meet weekly for six weeks on Tuesday evenings from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm in Rm 1, Pleasant Hill Community Church. Materials provided.
